The second in the series of four free illustrated talks kicks off tonight (Wed. 14th April) at 8pm in the Strand Hotel, Ennis Road, Limerick. Admission to the talk is free of charge.
The second talk will be given by Dr. Fran Igoe and is entitled "Biodiversity on Irish Rivers". Dr. Igoe is well known in fisheries circles and within the fish conservation community. He has worked in the past for the Shannon Regional Fisheries Board and is presently working with the Southern Regional Fisheries Board.
Dr. Igoe was instrumental in securing European Commission funding for the development of the Mulkear LIFE project and is actively involved the Irish Char Conservation Group.
