The second outing for 2013 of the Mulkear Conservation Volunteers will take place on Saturday, 23rd February 2013, from 10.00 to 13.00. The meeting point will be Annacotty (the car park area next to the Mill Bar).

The outing will focus on riparian management at this High Nature Value and High Amenity Value site along the Mulkear River. The fieldwork will include tree planting and the installation of bird nesting boxes. A general clean up of the site may also be undertaken. The conservation outing will also include a discussion on habitat creation. In order to organise numbers please let us know by Thursday 21st February 17.00hrs if you are in a position to attend this outing. For those who wish to avail of transport from Limerick – please note a lift will be available for a small number of people from the Dock Road, Inland Fisheries Ireland office, to Annacotty – if you wish to avail of this lift please get in touch with us as soon as possible.
Please bring the following:
• Appropriate clothing & foot ware (robust walking boots / wellington boots) & rain gear (jacket & trousers)
• Water (if required) & and a flask of tea or coffee & snack (if required for field work)
• Gloves will be supplied but if you have your own and would prefer to use same please bring them.
