MulkearLIFE DVD Now Available

The recently completed MulkearLIFE DVD has been uploaded on YouTube (Irish Angling Update channel) and is available to view in full or on a chapter by chapter basis.  Please have a look if you have not already viewed it. The DVD gives a comprehensive overview of the work of MulkearLIFE (2010 to 2014) on the Restoration of the Lower Shannon SAC for Sea Lamprey, Atlantic Salmon & European Otter. The DVD is divided into 8 chapters for ease of viewing.

The DVD includes input for the various project partners including: Dr. Ciaran Byrne, Ms. Amanda Mooney, Prof. Martin O’ Grady, Dr. Sean Rooney, Ms. Lorraine O’Donnell, Ms. Jane Gilleran, Dr. James King, Mr. Liam Hourigan – Inland Fisheries Ireland. Mr. John Sheehan & Andrew Maloney – Limerick City & County Council. Mr. Noel Fitzpatrick – the Office of Public Works.  It includes local Mulkear Farmers: Mr. Patsy Egan, Mr. Gerard O’Dwyer, Mr. Patrick (Paddy) O’ Dwyer.

A great many others are featured in the DVD and helped in its production including: The Staff & Pupils of Scoil Caitriona, Cappamore National School, Dr. Ferdia Marnell – National Parks and Wildlife Service, Mr. Richard Keys (Angler / Mulkear Catchment Management Group), Mr. David Thompson (Angler / Mulkear Catchment Management Group) and Mr. Patrick Lenihan (Mulkear Conservation Volunteers) and Ms. Bernadette Guest (Waterford County Council).
