MulkearLIFE had a great day at the Cappamore Agricultural Show on Wednesday 18 August. This year, the Show Committee hosted its 56th Annual Show which has now become an extremely important part of the social and cultural fabric of East Limerick and West Tipperary. The Cappamore Show is one of the biggest local agricultural events in the Mulkear catchment and the project was delighted to be in a position to have a stand at the show. The event attracted upwards of 10,000 people and the project was thrilled to be able to greet hundreds of patrons at the MulkearLIFE stand. It also proved an excellent opportunity to network with project partners and supporters in the OPW, IFA, Coillte and local schools.
The work of MulkearLIFE in the local farming community was highlighted to a large number of farmers who dropped by the stand as was the project’s environmental education work in local schools and within the wider community including the upcoming series of four illustrated talks in Cappamore Community Centre.
