Following the success of last year’s show, MulkearLIFE is delighted to again have the opportunity to attend this year’s Cappamore Agricultural Show. The Show will take place on Saturday, 20 August. This year, the Show Committee will host its 57th Annual Show.

The Show is one of Ireland’s leading One Day Shows. It is very highly regarded throughout Munster and at a national level. The event incorporates both displays and competitions in areas such as cookery, crafts, agricultural and horticultural produce and other areas that draw on the traditional skills, arts and crafts, as well as more traditional show sections such as livestock, horse showing and jumping classes.

The Show has become an extremely important part of the social and cultural fabric of East Limerick and West Tipperary. It is one of the biggest local events in the Mulkear catchment. MulkearLIFE is therefore extremely pleased to be in a position to have a stand at the show. Last year’s event attracted in excess of 10,000 people and the project was thrilled to be able to greet hundreds of patrons at the MulkearLIFE stand. It also proved an excellent opportunity to network with project partners and supporters in the OPW, IFA, Coillte and local schools.

This year, MulkearLIFE will be highlighting its work in the local community and more especially its work with the local farmers. Free advice will be available to farmers with river frontage at the MulkearLIFE stand and the project will provide an update on the work of the project to date. Details of the project’s environmental education work in local schools and within the wider community will be provided included details of three upcoming events as part of Heritage Week 2011 (20th to 28th August 2011).
If you are at the Cappamore Agricultural Show please drop by and say hello.
