Inland Fisheries Ireland replaced lamprey tiles at Annacotty Weir on the Mulkear River.
Water levels at Annacotty dropped sufficiently to allow for the much needed replacement of the lamprey pass tiles ahead of the annual lamprey migration. This work took place on May 19th and involved IFI officers and was fully complete within the day. Lamprey have been seen using the pass the following week. This work was carried out as part of the Mulkear Afterlife program.
