An Enjoyable MCV Outing in the Clare Glens

An enjoyable day was had by all during the Mulkear Conservation Volunteer outing on Saturday last, 23rd November 2013. The outing to the Clare Glens, on the Clare River, took place in dry cold conditions with normal winter water levels on the river.

The work undertaken by the Mulkear Conservation Volunteers was focused on riparian management work above and below Clare Bridge, this included a major litter clean-up along the river and path repair work below Clare Bridge.

The Volunteers also helped enhance local biodiversity through the installation of a large number of bird boxes of various sizes. These boxes are in addition to a dipper box installed previously at this site.
